Conflict the breeding ground for any successful story (Conflict is Good!!!). Conflict moves a story along; it directs the actions and reactions of all the characters involved. When conflict is external, it presents itself as something the protagonist or the other characters can face, plan for, and if lucky even avoid. However, what happens when the conflict is the protagonist or the characters themselves? What happens when you have to become the thing you hate most in order to survive in its world? Kale (The focal point in this story) knows this all too well; follow his adventures in Aya Knights young adult novel The Chronicles of Kale.
